“Originally from Germany I have always had a love for Britain and used to travel around the UK a lot on my holidays. It was only a matter of time until an English gentleman stole my heart and gave me final reason to pack my things, leave good ol’ Germany and settle in this wonderful place. I love all the great English stereotypes – cosy cottages, pints, pies and pubs, green valleys and haunted castles; and all this comes together at its best in the beautiful Ribble Valley.
I have felt drawn to the Workhouse from the first time I went past. I hold a Master of Arts in German and English, have worked throughout a range of businesses in marketing, PR and publishing and I felt Workhouse was just the right place for me. I took the chance to help out for a couple of weeks, and during this time I found that my gut feeling about this place was right. I was immediately inspired by the creative atmosphere! The wealth of knowledge, enthusiasm and professionalism are second to none. I am very happy to be part of this amazing team and I look forward to my future here”.
